I almost cried to this One Defender kind of story.

Will Radford, Jeremy Wells, Anthony Dawson and James Shatwell became friends during college. With their friendship getting stronger, they decided to buy a car. It was an awesome 1957 Series I Land Rover, the predecessor of One Defender. The Landy, how they called it lasted for fifteen long and wonderful years. When the time came, instead of just taking it to the junkyard, they created a listing on local auction site hoping someone would come to the rescue and save their beaten and broken Landy. The listing was accompanied by true touching story of their countless adventures and their sorrow at parting with the beloved car. When the car was sold, four friends were sure they’re closing the chapter of their lives.

However, what they didn’t know is that the buyer was actually the team at Land Rover New Zealand. With help of Will’s wife, Claire they bought a car and gave ‘The Landy’ a painstaking ground-up mechanical restoration. All work was done just on time for Valentine’s day and four guys got the present they’ll never forget.
